A MAGICAL LEARNING JOURNEY
The Lafcadio Hearn Japanese Gardens is a haven for children of all ages. The gardens are filled with references to Japanese and Irish Folklore and Fairytale and provide a magical setting throughout. An Educational Discovery Trail and Woodland Fairy Trail as well as use of an interactive Touch Screen is available to all our young visitors and we find children are eager to return again and again.
Events run throughout the year to cater for the younger generation and these include the Midsummer Fairy Festival and the Enchanted Garden Winter Light Festival.

SCHOOL TOURS
The Gardens cater for School Tours for all age groups. Each Tour is customised to suit the interests and ages of the class and children also have the opportunity to learn words and greetings in Japanese. The Tour Guide will focus the tour based on the requests of the Teachers/Leaders and it can be both fun and educational.
A Full Day in Tramore can be planned by choosing another Activity in Tramore (for eg. Surfing, Indoor Play Areas, Beach Walks or Tours) picnic lunches can also be arranged. Our Garden Staff can advise you on this when making an enquiry and there is so much to choose from in the area.
