HALLOWEEN JAPANESE GARDENS 2025
SPIRITS OF THE KWAIDAN FOREST

EXTENDED UNTIL 2nd November…
The very popular ‘Spirits of the Kwaidan Forest’ is a very unique Halloween experience, perfect for ‘little monsters’ or younger children who would prefer a daytime experience. There is no doubt this year’s garden will be one ‘The Adam’s Family’ would just love to have as the woodlands will be filled with Ghosts, ghouls, witches, skeletons and strange sounds perfect for a spooky daytime walk. There will also be a special Japanese Spirit Path dedicated to Lafcadio Hearn’s book of ghostly tales, Kwaidan.
As always our sustainable cobweb installation will form an artistic element and allow for great photo ops. This event is included in normal garden entry (Adults €7 Children €3 U-2 Free). Pay on entry or book online. Weather permitting.

SUSTAINABLE COTTON THREAD ART INSTALLATION

WORKING TOWARDS A MORE SUSTAINABLE HALLOWEEN….The next few weeks up to Oct 17th will see our CottonThread Art Installation inspired by Sean Corcoran being developed. As we thrive to make our events more sustainable, once again we will create an installation in our Woodlands using cotton string to replace plastic webbing that is usually used for making cobwebs. We are using organic cotton string to create large walk-through canopies between the trees. Cotton is a natural material, it’s a renewable resource and it’s biodegradable. Adults and Children can gaze out through the geometric shapes created by the string giving a whole other perspective on the landscape around them. Although this is a stand alone installation it will sit in the woodlands complimenting our Halloween Ghostly Woodland Walk in a very eerily way. This Installation is being created by the artistic members of our staff who are artists in their own right.
